Case study

Grace Tarnasky Real Estate

A whole real-estate presence for an agent in The Dalles: her own brand and voice, a CMS she runs herself, live listings pulled from RMLS, neighborhood guides with real numbers, and a trained assistant behind it. Built on the same engine as the studio's own site, forked and made entirely hers.

Grace Tarnasky sells homes in The Dalles and across the Columbia River Gorge, and at the start of 2026 her entire web presence was a headshot on her brokerage's roster page. Phase one built her the whole thing: a brand in her own voice, a site she runs herself, and the plumbing under it that most solo agents never get.

The engine is the studio's own CMS, forked and made entirely hers. Her active and sold listings come straight from RMLS with real photos and specs. A journal gives her market notes a home that search engines respect, and a trained assistant answers questions against her live listings and pages.

The market, on her domain

Six neighborhood guides (Cascade Locks, Dufur, Hood River, Mosier, Parkdale and The Dalles) are each written as a local tells it, with the numbers alongside. Under them sit thirteen ZIP report pages spanning both sides of the river, fed by Zillow home values for 824 ZIPs and a Redfin sales tracker, with sixty months of price history drawn into charts on the server. When a buyer wants to know what homes go for in Dufur, her site is the page that actually answers.

A dashboard that reads like a briefing

Her admin opens on the business: new leads waiting, tasks due, the week's calendar, and a launch checklist that walked her from DNS to a connected CRM in plain English. The market data refreshes from her own screen with one button, and every number on the public pages traces back to it. Ask Gracie, the assistant's staff mode, explains whichever screen she lands on.

Search, designed in

Structured data rides on every listing, guide and journal post. The sitemaps and the LLM-readable site map stay current on their own, and her Google Business Profile was built out alongside the site rather than after it. The guides answer the questions buyers actually type, which is the whole strategy.

She edits everything in place on the live site: text, photos, listings, journal posts. No page builder, no plugins, no monthly platform rent. A first-year agent with a visible track record, her own domain, and answers on her own site reads like a veteran, which is the entire point.

Grace runs the same stack I build for any agent who would rather own their site than rent one.

Common questions

Who keeps the market data fresh?

The site does. Zillow research files and a Redfin sales tracker feed thirteen ZIP report pages, and Grace refreshes them from her own dashboard with one button.

Does Grace run the site herself?

Yes. She edits text, photos, listings and journal posts in place on the live page, and her dashboard handles leads, follow-ups and the week's tasks.

What is the site built on?

A fork of UlricCMS, the studio's own engine: no plugins, no page builder, no monthly platform rent, owned outright.
