Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the websites and software services I provide as Ulric, the independent studio of Eric Richers in Eugene, Oregon. By using a site I run or booking a call through one of my tools, you agree to what follows. In these terms, "I", "me", and "Ulric" mean the studio; "you" means you.

What Ulric provides

Ulric builds and hosts custom websites and the tools behind them, including scheduling, content management, and site assistants. Some features, like booking a consultation, are offered to visitors; others, like connecting a calendar, are used by the business that owns the site.

Booking and scheduling

When you book a time, you are requesting that time, and the confirmation you receive holds it on the owner's calendar. Availability depends on the calendar behind the tool, so on rare occasions a time may need to be rescheduled. If that happens, you will be notified and offered another time. Please provide accurate contact details so a confirmation can reach you.

Acceptable use

Use these services lawfully and in good faith. Do not attempt to break, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to any site or system, and do not use the tools to send unlawful, harmful, or deceptive content. I may suspend access that puts the service or other people at risk.

Third-party services

Some features connect to services run by others, such as Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Ulric is not responsible for the practices of those third parties beyond the narrow, described way it uses their APIs, which is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The design, code, and content of the sites I build remain owned by me or by my clients, as agreed in each engagement. Nothing here grants you a license to copy or reuse them, except that you may of course use the public site as intended.

Disclaimers

I work hard to keep everything running well, but the services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. I do not promise that a service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Ulric will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. When I do, I will change the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
